What Kind is your Suitcase?
Most people take stuff with them when they’re traveling. Shocking, I know. However, aside from the obvious bit of it, there are some important details that need to be considered. First of all, you need to have a bag/bags. After all, just carrying armloads of stuff isn’t likely to be something that the airline will be cool with. Therefore, you’re going to need some sort of luggage or suitcase to lug your stuff around.
First of all, you need to consider precisely what you need the bags for. For instance, are you going to be spending a semester studying abroad? If so, you might want to consider looking for an appropriate duffle bag or soft-shell suitcase to keep your stuff in. Will you be needing the suitcase for your job, which takes you all over the country, staying in different hotels? You may want to consider looking for travel bags or a hard-shell suitcase, one which will also bear up well against a good deal of wear and tear.
If you’re looking for something that you’ll be using for multiple purposes, then you’ll want something which you’ll be able to use for that. For instance, if you want something that you can equally use for, say, going to another city for a sporting tournament and for going to spend some time in the Peace Core, then you’ll have to get something that is both spacious and not too bulky, as you likely won’t have much room on the football bus to put it. Therefore, consider what you’ll potentially be using it for before you get some anything. After that, there may not be much you can do about it.
Another thing you may want to consider is whether or not you’ll be needing the suitcase over the long term. Is it something that you’ll only be using occasionally – or even once – for some sort of long-distance trip, then you may not want to invest an extreme amount of money. Or, if you do, then you may want to consider keeping it in good condition for resale. Alternately, if you’re going to be using the bag on multiple occasions or for multiple things, then you might want to invest in something which will bear up to a great deal of wear, as well as serve all your needs. For instance, if you’re taking a lot of rather valuable things around with you, then you might want to get a travel bag with one of those hidden compartment. Never know when it might come in handy.
